I grew up in the country just East of Ottawa surrounded by forests and farm land, with loving parents who would take my siblings and I camping every summer, so nature was all around, all the time. Out in the woods, and on the water with only the birds and wildlife is where I find peace and balance, and where everything seems to make sense.

Each idea and inspiration can sometimes manifest in its own individual style, and those styles continue to evolve as the years go by.
I enjoy hiking, kayaking, camping and just being surrounded by nature as often as I can. For the past decade or so, most of my pieces have been directly influenced by these adventures in the Canadian wilderness, much of which is spent either close to home on the Ottawa River, the beautiful highlands of Ontario, the rolling Gatineau hills of Quebec and surrounding rural natural areas near
Kitigan Zibi/Maniwaki.
I love foraging and studying mushrooms in Ontario and western Quebec. This section showcases the direct influence they have on my work.
* This mushroom painting was directly influenced by the the ethereal cover image from "The Encyclopedia of Mushrooms" by Reinhard & Coleman.
